SBI Amrit Kalash Scheme : The country's largest public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), is offering a tremendous savings scheme. This scheme is for only 400 days. However, now only seven days are left to invest in it. The last date to invest in the State Bank of India's (SBI) special fixed deposit (FD) scheme 'Amrit Kalash' is 30 September 2024. This scheme was launched in April 2023 and its time limit has been extended several times given the interest of the customers.

Features of Amrit Kalash FD Scheme:

Period: 400 days

Interest rates : General customers will get 7.10% and senior citizens will get 7.60% interest. These rates are 30 basis points higher than regular FD schemes.


Who can invest?

The scheme is open to both domestic and non-resident Indians (NRIs). It covers both fresh deposits and renewals and applies to term deposits of less than Rs 2 crore.

Mode of Interest Payment:

Customers can take interest on a monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly basis. Interest on special-term deposits will be paid on maturity. After maturity, the interest will be credited to the customer's account after deducting TDS.

Tax and other benefits:

In this scheme, TDS will be deducted as per the Income Tax Act. If you want an exemption in TDS, you can submit Form 15G/15H. A loan facility and premature withdrawal option are also available in the scheme.

To invest in this scheme, you can book online by visiting the SBI branch or through internet banking and the SBI YONO app. If you want to invest in this attractive scheme, then make your investment before 30 September 2024.
