This form of Adi Shakti Durga is being honoured with full rituals today. Throughout this nine-day festival, devotees worship different forms of the mother each day. A huge crowd of people gathered in Maa Chinmastika Devi temple

A large crowd gathered at the Maa Chinmastika Devi temple in the Kanti block area of Muzaffarpur. The devotees gathered as soon as the temple doors opened in the morning, to worship the goddess, seek blessings, and pray for the fulfilment of their wishes. They offered flowers, fruits, prasad, and other offerings while praying for happiness, peace, and prosperity from Mother Skandamata.

Importance of special worship

On the fifth day, the worship of the Skandamata form of the mother holds great significance. It is believed that by venerating this form, devotees attain peace, prosperity, and wealth. The renowned Chhinmastika temple in Muzaffarpur, designed similarly to the Rajrappa temple in Jharkhand, draws large numbers of devotees. They attest that their desires are fulfilled through the temple's darshan and worship.
