Shazia Ilmi criticizes Omar Abdullah

During her campaign for the BJP in Kashmir, Shazia Ilmi directed criticism towards Omar Abdullah. When questioned by the media about Omar Abdullah's statement attributing the low turnout in Srinagar to the government's hosting of foreign delegates, Shazia Ilmi responded by questioning Omar Abdullah's tactics. She emphasized that the current era of social media makes it impossible for political figures to spread misinformation across different regions. Shazia Ilmi suggested that Omar Abdullah's previous approach of making different statements in various locations is no longer effective, stating, "Your lies will not work now."

The speaker emphasized that previous elections in Jammu and Kashmir were marred by fraudulent practices, whereas today's voting process is characterized by transparency. This signifies a significant milestone for democracy, with global attention focused on the event. Consequently, attempts by Omar Abdullah to manipulate the situation are unlikely to succeed.
